Parent Resources

The Parent Resource Center at Cordova Elementary School
The Center is open to parents Monday – Thursday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Parents are welcome to check out a variety of items such as books, tapes, flash cards, phonics cards and fun games the whole family can enjoy. We also have a number of parenting skills materials. Additionally, the center is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer, connected to the Internet. The computer is available for any parent to use, in accordance with the Alhambra District policy regarding appropriate use of technology.

El Centro de Recursos para Padres, está abierto de Lunes a Jueves, de 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. Invitamos a todos los padres a visitar el centro y hacer uso de los artículos disponibles tales como libros, cintas, tarjetas y juegos educativos para toda la familia. También contamos con una moderna computadora, con conexión a internet. La computadora esta disponibles a todos los padres, siempre y cuando se respete la póliza del distrito acerca del uso apropiado de la tecnología.

Parent Leadership Ambassadors are leaders within the community who partner with their local school in bridging communication between the school and families.  They team with building-level administrators in promoting the school within the community.  To join this group of leaders, contact your school principal or the District Office at 602-336-2920.

The Legislative Committee is a group of parents and community members that keep abreast of legislation affecting education.  The committee meets two times a year; hosts a dinner at the Alhambra District Office for legislators representing Alhambra District and members of the Senate and House Education Committees; and plans an annual Capitol Tour where parents and community members visit legislators and the Governor at the State Capitol, and attend Senate and House Education Committee meetings.
